The individual pieces of a wreck are each manageable. It is the sequencing that defeats people: the body shop needs the claim number, the claim needs the crash report, the report takes ten days, the storage lot charges for every one of them, and meanwhile you are supposed to be at work and cannot get there.
This is the part TheGuru.info actually does. The attorney, the doctor, the shop and the tow are the pieces. Coordinating them in the right order is the service.
One intake instead of six
Every provider you would otherwise call asks the same opening questions: when, where, who else was involved, did police attend, was anyone taken to hospital, what has the insurance said. Repeating that six times while concussed is its own small ordeal.
You tell us once. We carry the relevant parts to each provider, so the orthopedist is not asking you for the claim number and the shop is not asking whether you have seen a doctor.
Order matters more than speed
Some things are urgent and some only feel urgent, and getting that backwards is expensive.
Genuinely time-sensitive: locating a towed vehicle before storage fees compound, getting examined while symptoms are still traceable to the crash, and preserving evidence in a commercial-vehicle case where electronic logs can be overwritten in weeks.
Not urgent, despite the pressure: signing anything the other driver's insurer sends over, accepting a first offer, or deciding what to do with a total-loss vehicle before it has been looked at.
An adjuster's promptness is not your deadline. Part of what we do is tell you which is which.
Available when crashes actually happen
Collisions cluster into evenings, weekends and holidays, and the decisions that shape a claim get made in the first few hours — where the car goes, whether you accept an ambulance, whether you give a statement at the roadside. An answering service taking a message until Monday is not much use at 2am on the Gulf Freeway.
The line is answered around the clock, every day of the year.
Spanish, and plain English
A good part of greater Houston does not conduct its serious business in English, and a crash is a bad moment to be negotiating in a second language. Se habla español.
Everyone gets the same thing in whichever language: what happens next, in what order, and what it costs. Which is nothing, for the coordination.
What we are not
We are a referral and coordination service. We are not a law firm, a medical practice, an insurer or a repair shop, and we do not provide legal, medical or repair services ourselves. We do not charge you, and you are never obliged to use anyone we introduce you to.
Contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. That begins only when you sign an agreement directly with an attorney.
If you are hurt right now, call 911 first. Then call us.
